Spiritual Diet This Month

January 2026

As we begin 2026, let's focus on developing a resilient, adhesive faith—one that doesn't peel away when the culture gets heated or life gets messy. By anchoring ourselves according to Colossians 3:12–15, we discover that faithful "stickiness" isn't about our own willpower, but about being bound together by and in the character of Christ.

The Gospel of Matthew opens with a royal announcement: the King has come. Written with a Jewish audience in mind, Matthew carefully connects the life and ministry of Jesus to Old Testament prophecy, presenting Him as the long-awaited Messiah—Israel’s promised King. From His royal genealogy to His kingdom teachings, Matthew shows that Jesus is not only the fulfillment of ancient promises but also the rightful ruler who brings salvation, justice, and hope. As we journey through this gospel, we will see how the King calls us to follow Him—not with fanfare and force, but with faith and faithfulness.
